D-Limonene

D-Limonene is a natural and biodegradable solvent derived from the oil found in the peel of citrus fruits. It is a liquid with an oily, thick texture and a smell reminiscent of oranges and lemons. In the field of FDM 3D printing technology, it is used to easily remove supports. More specifically, it is used to melt HIPS material supports. Within 12-24 hours, the supports are completely removed and the surface of the 3D printed model becomes smooth. It should be remembered that D-Limonene is flammable at temperatures above 48°C, but not toxic. For proper storage, the container must be completely sealed and placed out of direct sunlight. Storage in a cool, dry and well-ventilated environment.
