FlashForge introduces the first filament drying repository that provides a more stable environment and consequently better 3D printing quality. The Flashforge Filament Drying Station is a multifunctional product that combines a 3D printer base with filament storage and drying.

 

Intelligent filament drying technology

The filament drying station improves the overall 3D printing process, ensuring stable filament usage throughout the workflow, thus increasing the uptime of your 3D printer and ensuring the quality of your 3D printing. The heating temperature is up to 120℃, which allows the moisture-absorbing properties of the filaments to be restored.

 

Reusable drying agent is economical and environmentally friendly

The silica gel desiccant inside ensures long-term storage of the filaments in a dry environment. Once the desiccant absorbs moisture and reaches saturation, the system will automatically start regeneration mode and the moisture in the desiccant will be removed through hot air circulation. This allows you to reuse the desiccant for about 1 year.

Large filament storage space

The FlashForge Filament Drying Station can hold 6 reels of 1 kg or 2 reels of 2.5 kg filament.

Why should you use a filament drying station?

The tendency to absorb moisture is a major problem for 3D printing. Even a small percentage of moisture will adversely affect the properties of most carbon fibre filaments, glass fibre filaments and other materials. Printing with wet filaments will not only cause defects in the surface quality, but will also destroy the material properties. The importance of proper storage and drying of materials is self-evident to achieve the best quality 3D printing.
