FlashForge PLA Pro is made of high quality PLA material to ensure smooth extrusion. PLA (polylactic acid) is a biodegradable plastic derived from natural sources – corn starch, sugar cane, beet and wheat starch. Under the right conditions, it can degrade so quickly, making it a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious users.

The use of PLA filament is the most widespread as it allows easy 3D printing without special requirements. An upgraded version of PLA filament allows 3D printing without puckering and with the best mechanical properties. PLA filament also emits minimal fumes during 3D printing, making it safer to use compared to other filaments. While PLA filament offers many advantages, it also has some limitations. It is not as heat-resistant as some other filaments and may start to soften or deform at higher temperatures. PLA is therefore not recommended for applications involving high temperatures or direct exposure to sunlight for long periods.
