3D printer Snapmaker U1 brings a revolution to desktop multi-material 3D printing with a dedicated CoreXY architecture featuring four toolheads. Designed for fast switching without filament purge waste, this high-speed printer effortlessly delivers flawless multicolor models and complex multi-material parts.
Why does the Snapmaker U1 3D printer stand out?

Unmatched performance in multi-material and multicolor printing
Equipped with four independent toolheads, the printer enables seamless combination of rigid and flexible filaments within a single print. You can combine PLA, PETG, TPU, and soluble support materials such as PVA without the risk of cross-contamination between nozzles or mechanical clogging.
Dedicated toolheads ensure that soluble or easy-to-remove support materials are deposited with clean, precise boundaries. The result is smooth overhang surfaces and complex internal geometries that require minimal post-processing.
High-Speed CoreXY Architecture and Precision Engineering

Precise mounting, reliable tool changes.
Fast toolhead changes. Designed for maximum speed.
Each color or material remains loaded in its dedicated toolhead. Instead of constantly unloading, reloading, and extruding filament through a shared nozzle, the printer swaps the entire toolhead in just 5 seconds.
Combined with the compact CoreXY system, which moves the active toolhead at speeds of up to 500 mm/s, this direct tool-changing mechanism enables more efficient multicolor and multi-material 3D printing.Automated Setup and Intuitive Workflow
The setup of complex multi-toolhead alignments is fully automated through built-in sensors. The system automatically calculates XYZ offset calibration for all four toolheads, levels the heated PEI build plate, and verifies nozzle heights before printing begins.
Built-in RFID sensors recognize official filament spools and automatically configure material profiles and temperature parameters. The automatic filament loading system, runout detection, and backup spool mode ensure uninterrupted operation during overnight printing or high-volume production.
What’s in the box?
The package includes a pre-assembled Snapmaker U1 3D printer with a textured PEI spring steel build plate. You receive four complete toolheads preloaded into the SnapSwap™ system, four 500 g spools of SnapSpeed PLA filament, four spool holders, and detailed quick-start instructions.
Also included is a complete toolkit and accessory set containing spare 0.4 mm stainless-steel hotends, PTFE tubes, a power cable, maintenance grease, and mounting hardware required for immediate setup.
Who is the Snapmaker U1 3D printer intended for?
This CoreXY 3D printer with 4 toolheads is ideal for product designers, engineers, educators, and advanced makers who require multi-material flexibility without excessive purge waste. Its large 270 Ă— 270 Ă— 270 mm build volume easily accommodates large individual prototypes or batch production.
Whether you need functional multicolor visual prototypes, flexible seals printed onto rigid structural components, or complex geometries supported with water-soluble filaments, this machine provides an intuitive and reliable solution.
