Evolution of 3WAY d.o.o. over the years.
3D printers, 3D scanners and CAD/CAM software in one place.
Establishment of the company 3WAY
The company 3WAY was established to offer faster and higher quality development of new products and advanced CAD/CAM 3D technology.
CAD/CAM, development of new products
The beginning of the 3WAY company is closely connected with CAD/CAM software. At this point, we started representing the hyperMILL CAM software from Open Mind Technologies, for which we still stand today.
Reverse engineering
With experience in CAD design, we started offering reverse engineering services to our clients. This involves a process where we obtain a computer-aided design (CAD) model from a physical object, which can then be used for various applications.
Virtual modeling
With the development of computer equipment, we also started using virtual modeling with the help of the FreeForm Phantom handle.
FDM 3D printers
A significant step for the company 3WAY was the introduction of FDM 3D printers. Initially, we became a representative for the MakerBot brand, which was considered the most innovative at that time.
Prototyping, small-batch production
With the help of FDM 3D printers, we started providing services in the form of prototyping and small-batch production.
3D scanners
3D skeniranje (3D scanning) is currently considered the fastest-growing 3D technology. 3D scanners are quite similar to cameras. Some even capture data about the color of the object, but primarily, it involves the digital capture of the shape of the 3D-scanned object. With the help of 3D scanners, we can quickly obtain a CAD model, which can then be used for reverse engineering, quality control, or reproduction.
SLM 3D printers
In addition to FDM 3D printers, we have also added SLM 3D printers to our offerings, capable of 3D printing in metal. Interestingly, 3D printed metal parts even have a better composition (more solid) than those produced through traditional subtractive manufacturing. This process requires less raw material, and there is no residual stress in the finished part.
SLA 3D printers
Due to the demand for very smooth surfaces on the final 3D models, we have expanded our offerings to include SLA 3D printers, which ensure exceptionally precise surfaces for 3D printed models.
Precision FDM 3D printers
The initiation of collaboration with the manufacturer of precision 3D printers, FlashForge, was a significant new step in the field of 3D printing.
Industrial FDM 3D printers
Customers expressed a desire for fully industrial 3D printers capable of 3D printing with more advanced materials such as PEEK, PEKK, ULTEM, and other engineering plastics. Therefore, we partnered with Intamsys, a manufacturer of high-quality industrial 3D printers.
Robots
Robots make many tasks easier or replace humans for entirely routine operations. Although it may not be as prevalent here, robots can be an extremely beneficial investment. Recently, we have been working on finding a solution for a robotic arm for 3D scanning, which would further enhance the integration of 3D scanners into the workflow.
Webinars
The development of technology has also enabled online education. We have conducted numerous webinars for our existing and potential clients, aiming to present primarily CAD and CAM software.
Dental program
Resin 3D printers and intraoral 3D scanners have enabled a breakthrough in the dental field and the field of medicine in general.
