The new FlashForge Guider 3 Plus is here!

The new FlashForge Guider 3 Plus 3D printer has arrived. Based on our experience with the Guider IIs, we are confident that this is a very reliable 3D printer, but with the difference that the Z-axis can 3D print up to 60 cm!

THE FIRST BIRTH

The packaging already indicated that it was a 3D printer with an extremely high 3D printing volume. After installing it in its “workplace”, we decided to test it immediately. We were impressed with the final 3D model, both in size and surface quality. We find it to be an extremely precise 3D printer that, despite having only one extruder, offers high speed 3D printing. The components are also of high quality in terms of appearance, giving a feeling of solidity and robustness.

SO WHO IS GUIDER 3 PLUS RIGHT FOR?

It is definitely an advanced 3D printer that will meet the needs of professionals. Considering the price, it may not really be suitable for beginners as an entry-level 3D printer, although the Guider 3 Plus is no more demanding to use than the most basic 3D printers. It is certainly suitable for those of you who have had trouble getting your models to have a large enough volume. With 3D printing volumes of up to 35 x 35 x 60 cm, the door of opportunity is now much wider open. With Guider 3 Plus you will speed up your production processes and reduce the cost of making your pieces.

VOLUME WILL NOT BE A PROBLEM, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE 3D MODELS?

It is logical that, with such a large volume, one might question a little the quality of the final models. At this point, the concern is redundant. One of the important aspects we wanted to look at is the quality of the finished surface itself. The latter is not questionable even at the high 3D printing speed at which it creates the 3D model. The latter is 50% higher than the previous model. The double screw on the Z-axis and the newly designed extruder structure ensure that each layer is printed accurately, which also shows in the details.

MATERIALS THAT CAN BE PRINTED WITH GUIDER 3 PLUS

FlashForge Guider 3 Plus also supports a wide range of 3D printing materials. The extruder can heat up to 320°C and the filament feed force is 50% higher than the previous model. Both features ensure that problems such as nozzle blockages are less likely to occur. It has a fully open filament system and can print with PLA, ABS, HIPS, PC, TPE, PETG, ASA and PA materials, plus glass fibre and carbon fibre reinforced filament.

Adequate filament storage is also provided. On the back, there are two sealed chambers with silica gel and a hygrometer that tells you the humidity level so you can take action. If you want to take your filament feeding up a notch, there is also a specialised FlashForge Drying Station that will keep your reels perfectly dry.

MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES

The Flashforge Guider 3 Plus is equipped with a camera for remote viewing of the 3D printing process and a 7-inch screen for easy operation. The Z-axis calibration is fully automatic, and the newly designed switch for removing the magnetic working pad is also convenient. You can easily leave it running overnight, and if the power goes out, it will resume 3D printing on its own when you restart it. To ensure a healthy environment, it also has a HEPA 13 air filter that will catch all harmful particles.

OUR REVIEW OF THE FLASHFORGE GUIDER 3 PLUS

We’re particularly impressed by the ultra-quiet operation, which means you won’t be disturbed by sound. We were equally impressed by the quality of the final surface of the 3D models created by Guider 3 Plus. Especially given the possibility of an exceptional 3D printing height, we believe that it will open the door to an even wider range of users, in addition to its other advanced features. Get to work with it!
