PEPPER ROBOT
Pepper is a robot developed by SoftBank Robotics. It is designed to interact with people and provide personalised services.
Build: Pepper is about 120 centimetres tall and has a friendly appearance. It has a white, rounded body with prominent eyes and a touch screen on the chest for displaying information and interaction.
Interaction and communication Pepper is equipped with a number of sensors, cameras, microphones and speakers, enabling it to sense and interact with people in a meaningful way. They can recognise faces, understand speech and respond with verbal and non-verbal cues, making them able to carry on conversations and offer help.
Emotional intelligence: one of the robot’s key attributes is its ability to understand and respond to human emotions. It uses advanced algorithms and facial recognition technology to analyse expressions, tone of voice and body language, allowing it to adapt its responses accordingly. This emotional intelligence enhances your ability to engage and connect with people on a deeper level.
Moving around the room Pepper is on wheels, which allows him to move around the room independently. It can move through interior spaces, avoiding obstacles and adjusting its path as needed. Mobility allows Pepper to approach and interact with people in different locations.
Multilingual support: Pepper supports multiple languages, allowing you to interact with people from different cultures and regions. It can understand and respond in different languages, making it easier to communicate and interact with a diverse range of people.
What can PEPPER do? Pepper is designed to provide a variety of services and help in different applications. It can greet and guide visitors through public spaces, provide information and recommendations, assist in retail environments and even serve as an educational tool or companion for individuals in need of social interaction.
Education: Pepper is also widely used as an educational tool in schools and universities. Its interactive capabilities, programming options and artificial intelligence features make it an effective tool for teaching robotics and programming.
